Mylai Kapaleeswarar Temple 63 Nayanmar festival [4-4-2012]
மைலை அறுபத்தி மூன்று நாயன்மார்கள் திருவிழா.
Panguni Peruvizha, the annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, is being celebrated with 10-day festival between March 28 and April 6. On March 27 the ‘Gramadevadai puja' was held at the Kolavizhi Amman Temple by 11 a.m.
On April 1 the deities were brought around in the savudal vimanam. Pallakku Vizha was held on April 2 in the morning.Car procession is one of the important events of the fest. By about 7.30 a.m., people all around the city gathered to pull the ropes of the temple car. It was pulled by huge crowds on all the four mada streets.
Lakhs of people participated in the 63 Nayanmar festival which was held on
